This role could be homebased or based in the UK in the London office (with the opportunity to work from home on some days each week in line with Christian Aid’s hybrid working approach) or work from the Dublin office in Ireland. The salary quoted is for homeworking in the UK, but if based in our London office, the salary will be £43,907.
This is an urgent recruitment in response to the Ukraine appeal and this role will require the successful candidate to start as soon as possible. The appointment made through this process will be for an initial period of up to 1 year (with the possibility of extension). About the role
This is a one year role designed to manage the Ukraine cash programming function while Christian Aid registers in Ukraine and establishes its office and staffing. The post holder will work with Christian Aid staff and partners in Ukraine and the surrounding countries to put in place, and monitor robust systems and processes to document and report on all forms of cash assistance in the Christian Aid Ukraine Programme.
You will have significant humanitarian expertise in cash and protection (perhaps with more emphasis on one than the other, see the role profile for more information), where you will support partners and Christian Aid staff to ensure that safe and inclusive cash and market based emergency programming is fully integrated into the Ukraine programme in line with Christian Aid strategy, commitments and quality standards.
Please note this role will require regular and prolonged travel to Ukraine and neighbouring countries (including travel of up to 90 days as permitted under Ukraine regulations).
