Duties and Responsibilities:
· To modify CaLP training materials (Core CVA skills for programme staff) to facilitate a 10 days training program as leader trainer
· To use appropriate adult learning techniques and methodology during the preparation and delivery of the training
· To ensure the smooth running on a day to day basis of the training, for example checking that the photocopies and hand-outs are ready for use
· To work with and support the co-facilitator by:
1) Reviewing the training materials and allocating specific tasks to the co-facilitator in accordance to their capacity; planning the training and the sessions
2) Including the co-facilitator in daily de-briefings and ‘next day preparations
· To collect evaluation forms from participants and analyzing data to be included in the final report
· To submit any relevant documentation to NRC team. This includes but not limited to, soft copies of any new training materials developed for this training and the final report, within two weeks of completion of the training
· To develop and submit a final report by evaluating the effectiveness of the training and suggesting improvements for future trainings; to ensure input from the co-facilitator into the final report
Skills and Experience:
An experienced and CaLP certified consultant, highly skilled in facilitation of workshops and training courses is sought
Specific desirable skills are as follows:
· Have knowledge and understanding of cash transfer programming (useful and desired)
· Demonstrate experience in adult learning techniques and workshop facilitation
· Have ToT training experience (desired)
· Able to use participatory/learning in Action methodologies
· Familiar with the use of audio and visual technologies
· Familiar with the use of virtual (zoom/team link) technologies
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent presentation skills
· Be a creative thinker, with a drive for results and strong commitment
· Have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues and counterparts from varied professional backgrounds
· Previous humanitarian experience(essential) preferably in South Sudan or similar context (desirable)
· Strong representation skills and an ability to use different presentation styles to suit various audiences
