About SENED
SENED is an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with the number 27-15-175. SENED was established by a group of humanitarian and social activists in responding to the Syrians suffer since 2011. SENED has become specialized in working with and supporting people with special needs since 2015 due to the realization of the tremendous tragedy that people with special needs live in Syria through periodic visits to their places.
Job Purpose
Based in Gaziantep Turkey, the MEAL Coordinator is under the line management of the CEO.
He/She will Lead on MEAL system design and implementation, evaluations, MEAL budgeting, recruitment as well as support proposal writing and log frame development at national level.
Key Result Indicator
Well-functioning M&E system.
Timely and effective response to complaints and identified risks.
Implementation of Sened policies and other related legislations and policies.
Accountabilities:
M&E system management:
§ Lead development of Monitoring & Evaluation systems (such as output trackers) and their roll out. Support sector technical staff to carry out monitoring and evaluation of project activities as agreed in Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks and plans and to strengthen integration between sectors.
§ Set up systems to manage complex information generated by MEAL activities, such as complaints databases and qualitative outcome monitoring data systems. Conduct statistical and qualitative data analysis and present and disseminate information to inform programme management at all levels of management within a response. Seek solutions for more complex data management requirements by working with information management colleagues, leading development of databases etc for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
Daily Operations of Monitoring and Evaluation:
§ Lead planning of needs assessments in coordination other external sector agencies, ensuring assessment findings are documented and include an analysis of beneficiaries’ needs and rights. Lead development of Sened programme baseline surveys where required.
§ Manage, train and mentor M&E team on M&E routine tasks and further development.
§ Oversee all Routine Monitoring Reporting actions and ensure templates are appropriately used and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
§ Oversee all Final Evaluation Report actions and ensure templates are appropriately used and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
§ Utilize system to monitor and ensure responsiveness to donors.
§ Ensure programmes feedback results in improve quality of project management and implementation.
§ Provide written contributions to weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed.
§ Lead planning of needs assessments in coordination other external sector agencies, ensuring assessment findings are documented and include an analysis of IDP’s and Refugee needs and rights. Lead development of Human Appeal programme baseline surveys where required.
§ Manage, train and mentor M&E team on M&E routine tasks and further development.
§ Oversee all Routine Monitoring Reporting actions and ensure templates are appropriately used and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
§ Oversee all Final Evaluation Report actions and ensure templates are appropriately used and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
§ Utilize system to monitor and ensure responsiveness to donors.
§ Ensure programmes feedback results in improve quality of project management and implementation.
§ Provide written contributions to weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed
Other:
§ Provide a handover report at the end of your contract.
§ Provide a regular report of your activities to the line manager.
§ Any other related task as assigned by the line manager.
Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):
Essential
§ University degree in Business Administration, Economics and other related disciplines, a Master degree is preferable
§ Minimum three years of experience in a similar position.
§ Advanced level in the English and Arabic languages.
§ Team management with the ability to delegate.
§ Proven experience in humanitarian work and principles.
§ Proven experience in dealing with donor’s policies, procedures, requirements and compliance.
Desirable
§ Intermediate level in the Turkish language.
IT and Equipment
§ Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office package.
