Job Purpose

To provide Human Resources operational and strategic support to identified Country Programs. To support all aspects of Country Program HR processes by ensuring quality standards in HR are developed and maintained in tandem with the global HR strategy. Manage the internal client relationship with Country teams and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction using problem solving ability, negotiation skills, responsiveness and continual communication.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provides operational and strategic HR business partnerships to country teams
  • Provides in country technical support to HR staff, coaching with focus on issues related to workplace relations, performance management, leadership development and conflict management
  • Together with Country Directors to build capacity of Country HR teams
  • Provides training, coaching, and capacity building to HR staff in country offices to ensure consistent application of policies and processes
  • Ensures and/or conducts designated compliance trainings within the region as needed and supports Country teams in adherence to compliance and audit recommendations.
  • Leads career development activities, including talent identification, capacity assessment and employee development
  • Assists local HR staff in implementation of Corporate HR policies and processes
  • Provides real time and strategic input as HR designee on Cross Functional Platform
  • Supports talent identification, capacity assessment and career development activities in designated country
  • Visits countries within their designated area and completes a report for each visit.
  • Provides in country support and complete detailed report on ASIS report for each visit.
  • Completes/supports in country compliance or safeguarding investigations
  • Deployment to emergency response to provide HR support.
  • Coordinates with HQ on communication and outreach activities regarding HR projects/initiatives
  • Supports and provides guidance on Learning and Development initiatives
  • Leads the annual review of compensation and benefit packages for the region ensuring consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information

Qualifications

  • Typically, a 4-year University degree in related area. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate

Experience

  • 10+ year of relevant and progressive experience working in human resources, including at least 7 years in the NGO industry, providing support to multi international country programs.
  • Good knowledge of IT platforms
  • Strong technical knowledge of human resources practices

  • Language: Arabic and French
