The Syrian Center for Media and Freedom of Expression (SCM) is an independent, non-governmental, and non-profit civil society organization registered in France in 2004, focusing on human rights and media development. Opportunity title: Call for Journalists

Service requested: Completing six investigative reports

Roles and Responsibilities:

SCM is looking forward to receiving proposals from 12 journalists working inside Syria to conduct and produce six joint investigative media reports in Arabic on common problems or challenges and address them with open-source research, therefore:

  • The proposal should be no more than one page, including:
    • Names of journalists (two or more).
    • Project title
    • Work plan shows the time plan (in 5 working months).
    • Coverage areas (must include two different areas)
    • Project goal
  • Projects submitted by two journalists covering different geographical areas of Syria are preferred
  • Journalists must conduct special training to produce investigative reports using open sources.

Responsibilities:

The Syrian Center for Media and Freedoms is looking forward to receiving proposals from 12 journalists working inside Syria to produce six joint investigative media reports in Arabic on common problems or challenges and address them with research through open sources, so:

  • The proposal should be no longer than one page including:
    • Names of journalists (two or more).
    • Project Title
    • Business plan, which shows the time plan (in 5 working months).
    • Coverage areas (must include two different areas)
    • Project goal.
  • Projects submitted by two journalists covering different geographical regions of Syria are preferred
  • Journalists must undergo special training to produce investigative reports using open sources

    • Clarify your place.
    • Prove at least two years of experience in the field of journalism.
  • CVs are accepted in PDF format, with the file named with the person’s full name.
  • Any request sent after the specified deadline will be ignored
  • The process of reviewing CVs will begin after the end of the advertisement period.
  • Only candidates who have progressed to the second stage will be invited for interviews, and we apologize for not sending a response to the remaining applicants
