SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, for more than 40 years, has provided relief to populations victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters by responding to vital needs, drinking, eating and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and promotion hygiene but also in the essential aspect of food security and means of existence. Present in around twenty countries, the SI teams – 2,000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, a few volunteers, etc. – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.


The Assistant Management Controller joins a desk team which supports and controls the work of several SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL countries of intervention. Supporting the desk management controller , he/she performs numerous reviews of financial information, focusing his/her efforts on monitoring analytical accounting, cash management and administrative monitoring. In addition, this position provides regular support in the field during support visits, or to ensure the transition to vacant positions.

You have field experience in a finance position, you want to work at the headquarters of a dynamic association while maintaining a lot of interaction with the field, you like financial and human challenges, you like collaborating with international teams, this position is made for you. You are proficient in Excel and English, you are rigorous, dynamic and creative, you will be able to meet the many challenges of this position.

Joining the DESK Pink team, you will participate in the financial management of Solidarités International’s activities in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen.

Through 3 essential pillars of the position: Financial control of missions and subsidies; Audit and Administration; Accounting and treasury;

The Assistant Management Controller works at (non-exhaustive list):

  • The monthly review and control of the analytical accounting of the desk’s missions, ensuring the correct allocation of costs in accordance with internal procedures and donor rules
  • Donor audits carried out at headquarters, and the preparation of all necessary financial information.
  • Review and control of project proposals prepared by the missions before submission to donors
  • Review and control of project budget monitoring
  • Review and control of interim and final financial reports prepared by desk missions before submission to donors
  • Preparing closing sheets for completed projects
  • Review and control of contracts, reports and payments made to mission implementation partners.
  • Identification of cash movements with donors
  • Review and control of the shared cost allocation table for each of the desk’s missions, as well as the budgetary monitoring of the mission
  • Participation in work to improve the management control team’s tools

The Management Controller also regularly visits the field teams of the desk missions, to provide technical support but also to take financial responsibilities in the event of the absence of a team member on site.


  • Training in finance, management or project management
  • First experience in an NGO in a financial position in the field, essential.
  • Mastery of the most common office software (Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of SAGA accounting software is a plus
  • Fluency in French and English (read, spoken, written) essential
  • Appetite for working independently and remotely
  • Good sense of communication and teamwork


  • Position based at the organization’s headquarters in Clichy (92), Clichy Town Hall metro station, with 30% of the time traveling in the field
  • Employee, executive status. Fixed-term contract until December 31, 2024.
  • Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of teleworking per month or 100% teleworking with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face work per month (TT package paid monthly). In accordance with the Teleworking Charter in force and the manager.
  • Gross monthly salary €2865 or €2985 depending on profile and experience,
  • 25 days of leave and 12 days of RRT / year
  • Mutual insurance (80%), restaurant tickets (60%), transport tickets (50%) covered by the association; teleworking package (if 100% option)
  • Recovery days and medical coverage covered 100% during field trips.
